5. Is "A Lasting Tribute Gift" similar to a Planned or Estate Gift?
No. Tribute Gifts are donations made in the name of a loved one, friend or colleague to recognize a special occasion (such as a birthday, wedding or anniversary); to honour the memory of someone who has passed away; or simply to say thank you. The gifts are made either "In Honour" or "In Memory" of someone and the dollar amounts are recorded in both the recipient's and the donor's giving record. When the total gifts accumulate to $1,000 or more, a plaque in loving memory of the deceased or in honour of the individual or group is placed on our "Celebration of Life Wall".
