Each year, Sault Area Hospital goes through a planning process to identify the most critically needed equipment for our hospital. Equipment is scored based on whether existing equipment can still be repaired, how important the equipment is to treatment, and how it will impact patient experience.

For 2021/2022, Sault Area Hospital plans to bring in over $10 million in equipment across the hospital.

The list below provides some basic information about the priority needs for Sault Area Hospital this year. If you are interested in supporting a specific piece of equipment, please contact us for more information.

Our Hospital
needs our support,
now more than ever.

Most medical equipment only lasts 7-10 years before needing to be replaced.

That means much of the equipment that was purchased when we moved into our Hospital in 2011 will need to be replaced over the next few years.

Our community purchases this equipment, through donations to Sault Area Hospital Foundation.

It’s not just equipment.

These are the tools our caregivers need to ensure you get the care you deserve.

All here, close to home.

Between April 1, 2021 and March 31, 2022,
we hope to purchase equipment totaling over
