Every dollar raised with SAHF 50/50 supports the purchase of critical equipment for our hospital.
What's the difference between buying tickets, and making a donation?
First: both help our hospital.
When you purchase a ticket, you have a chance to win a prize - so less of the money you give goes toward the equipment, and you do not get a charitable receipt.
When you make a donation, more of your gift goes toward equipment. PLUS, you'll get a charitable receipt for the full amount!
BE A HERO
GIVE ANOTHER WAY
Every person in our community has a way to support our hospital.
Are you good at rallying people behind a cause?
Organize a fundraising event
Whether is a performance, a run, a garage sale, a craft show, or something entirely different - you can hold an event to generate support for SAHF. Right now, while we can't hold in-person events, we've seen creative fundraisers like live-streamed concerts or sales of homemade goods with proceeds to SAHF. Learn more about holding fundraising events.
Ask for donations in lieu of gifts
If you have a special occasion coming up, you can ask your friends and family to make a donation to SAH instead of getting you a gift. We've seen people organize these kinds of fundraisers for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, and more. Social media tools like Facebook have built-in fundraising options, or our Foundation can help you set up a fundraising page yourself. Just contact us for help getting your fundraiser set up.
Do you own or manage a business?
Run a promotion to support SAHF
Making a donation part of a business promotion can be a great way to encourage customers to choose you. This can be tied to sales of a product (for every widget we sell, our business will make a gift to SAHF), can be an ask to your customers at the point of sale (would you like to add a donation to SAHF?), or can be tied to a milestone for your business (once we reach this goal, we'll donate to SAHF). If you're considering running a promotion like this, contact us so we can help get the word out to our network.
Do you have a special skill?
Use the things you're good at to help
Your talents can be used to help our hospital - either directly, or by generating support. For example: right now, our hospital is looking for people who sew to help by making reusable masks.
If you can bake, you could organize a bake sale. If you like to hike, you could lead a guided walk. If you play music, you can busk or have a concert. There are so many ways to use your talents and interests to create positive change.
