On June 25th, the Sault Area Hospital Foundation (SAHF) drew the lucky winners of the 34th Annual 5 Car Draw, live at the Station Mall. While an incredible five grand prizes were awarded, because of your support, everyone in our community is a winner. Proceeds from the draw will purchase vital medical equipment for Sault Area Hospital, making outstanding care possible.
Each of the winners of the 5 Car Draw was given the choice between a vehicle or a cash alternative. The choices were difficult with prizes including cars, SUVs, and pickup trucks, hybrids and all-electrics, along with cash prizes of up to $65,000.
Grand Prize 1 winner, Patricia Zehr of Sault Ste. Marie (Ticket# CR-5772938), was celebrating her 36th anniversary on draw day. The choice between a Toyota Camry-Hybrid or $35,000 cash was an easy one for Patricia, and she drove off in a brand new Toyota Camry-Hybrid.
Grand Prize 2 winner, William Tryon of Sault Ste. Marie (Ticket# CR-8823165) had the choice between a Honda CRV-Hybrid or $40,000 cash. He was caught off guard when we called him at work to let him know he was a grand prize winner! Once William had a chance to take it all in, he decided on the cash prize.
Grand Prize 3 winner, Jacqueline Mynott of M’Chigeeng (Ticket# CR-363668), knew a big decision had to be made when she found out she was a winner! Jacqueline had the choice between a Kia Telluride or $45,000 cash, and decided on the cash prize.
Grand Prize 4 winner, Susan Mclean of Sault Ste. Marie (Ticket# CR-5441062), said her co-workers gathered around her office when she started cheering! She when given the choice between a Chevy Silverado or $60,000 cash and after a few days of deciding, Susan walked away with the cash.
Finally, Grand Prize 5 winner, Jacob Stubbe of Richards Landing (Ticket# CR-4178444) couldn’t believe it when we called! He was given the choice between a brand-new Ford Mach-E Mustang or $65,000 cash. It was a difficult decision for Jacob, but he decided on $65,000 cash.
