Sweet Greetings opens location in Sault Area Hospital

Sweet Greetings has opened a new location at Sault Area Hospital (SAH) in partnership with Sault Area Hospital Foundation (SAHF). The new Sweet Greetings will operate in the gift shop, off the main lobby at SAH.

The new location will offer gift and convenience products to patients and their families, as well as the staff at SAH. Like the previous volunteer-run gift shop, this location will share its profits with SAHF – helping to purchase capital medical equipment for Sault Area Hospital.

“The community is important to us. We love the history of philanthropy the volunteer-run gift shop had, and we plan to continue that at this location here in our local hospital. We are excited to offer our extensive selection of products at this location, and anyone visiting our store and making a purchase can feel great knowing they’ll also be supporting such an incredible cause,” said Joseph Greco, Sweet Greetings owner/partner.

The gift shop was previously operated by the Sault Area Hospital Volunteer Association (SAHVA) as one of several ways the group raised funds for local care. “We can’t say enough about our Volunteer Association. They are an integral part of our hospital and, over the years, have donated over $1.4 million back to our Hospital through their fundraising efforts. They ran an amazing gift shop, but decided to step back, and we’re thrilled to see a local business continue their charitable legacy,” said Teresa Martone, Sault Area Hospital Foundation Executive Director. “We are very excited to have Sweet Greetings join us in this partnership, and ensure the gift shop continues to give back to everyone at SAH.”

Sweet Greetings at Sault Are Hospital will be open Monday to Friday 9-5:30, Saturday 10:00-5:00, Sunday closed. These hours are temporary until COVID restrictions at the hospital lift.

Sweet Greetings offers an array of giftware, home décor and gourmet treats for that special person. Their home décor is up to date with the freshest concepts to make your space special. They will be offering their custom gift basket service to patients and visitors of Sault Area Hospital, with in-room delivery available.
