Chemistry Analyzers Fully Funded!
At Sault Area Hospital Foundation, community support continues to play a critical role in advancing care at Sault Area Hospital. This spring, that impact was felt in a powerful way through the successful funding of two new Chemistry Analyzers for the hospital’s laboratory.
Chemistry analyzers are the backbone of our laboratory and support patient care in almost every area of our hospital. The two chemistry analyzers at SAH run about 870,000 tests every year. These tests can show how well your organs are functioning, measure blood sugar, check for infections and generally give care teams the “full picture” of their patient.
A Community Challenge That Made a Difference
This initiative was made possible through the generosity of JJ, Donna, Jamie and Mary Hilsinger, who stepped forward with a matching gift opportunity to inspire community support. Their commitment helped amplify the impact of every donation, encouraging widespread participation from across the region. Over the course of the campaign, more than 500 gifts were made before the June 30 deadline—each one contributing to a shared goal of strengthening local healthcare.
Fully Funded Through Local Support
Thanks to this incredible response, both Chemistry Analyzers have now been fully funded. This achievement reflects the strength of a community that understands the importance of investing in healthcare close to home. Every contribution—no matter the size—played a role in ensuring the hospital’s laboratory remains equipped with the tools needed to deliver high-quality care. With the addition of these new analyzers, Sault Area Hospital is better positioned to continue providing efficient, accurate, and timely diagnostic services.
