On average, the Emergency Department (ED) at Sault Area Hospital sees 27,000 people every year. Portable patient monitors are essential for many of these patients.

These monitors provide real-time vital information like heart rate, oxygen levels, blood pressure, and more. Because they are portable, they can move with the patient across the hospital, allowing for continuous monitoring no matter where they are.

Portable monitors help care teams notice small but important changes in a patient’s condition. This means care teams can make informed and quick decisions when a patient’s condition changes. Catching a change early can prevent symptoms from getting worse, and can even help save lives.

Until June 30, Tony and Anna Ruscio and Family are matching all donations made in support of the SAH Emergency Department. Your gift will help purchase 20 pieces of critical medical equipment, including 3 portable patient monitors.
