YOU CAN HELP US REACH OUR GOAL

Give today to ensure our Emergency Department has the equipment they need to provide the best possible care at Sault Area Hospital.

The ED is set up to help with critical health issues that need immediate attention: head injuries, heart attacks, trouble breathing, trauma, and so much more. It can also be the place people come when they don’t have access to other care.

Patients in the ED are seen based on the seriousness of their condition. The demand for space – especially beds – is high. Sicker patients can turn into longer waits for everyone.

Our care teams don't want you to have to wait. They've been working on innovative ideas to help move patients more efficiently through the emergency department, but some of those ideas depend on new equipment for Sault Area Hospital. Equipment you can help purchase with your gift this Spring!

Thanks to Tony and Anna Ruscio and Family, every gift to the ED this spring will be matched, up to a maximum of $200,000. Together, we can get the equipment the ED needs!

Your gift goes twice as far!

2X

We will DOUBLE YOUR DONATION
to the Emergency Department until June 30th!

Tony and Anna Ruscio and Family hope you will join them in supporting Sault Area Hospital.

They have generously given an $800,000 gift - $600,000 toward equipment across Sault Area Hospital, and $200,000 to match your gifts to Sault Area Hospital Foundation this spring.

As a family that has been impacted by physician shortages in our community, they know the importance of the Emergency Department. “When you don’t have a doctor, that’s where you go,” said Tony. “Giving to the hospital helps everyone. We all benefit.”

HOW MUCH HAS BEEN MATCHED?

The total needed for 20 pieces of critical equipment is $400,000.
That means, if every gift is matched, we need to raise at least $200,000!

Sault Area Hospital is home to the only Emergency Department (ED) in Sault Ste. Marie, and the largest ED in the Algoma District.

The ED sees, on average, 27,000 people every year.

Please give today and help us bring critical equipment to Sault Area Hospital!
