Local Support helps SAHF & Henderson Metal exceed $50K Goal on GivingTuesday

Sault Area Hospital Foundation and Henderson Metal set a goal to raise “$50K in a day” to fund a new TeraRecon server on GivingTuesday (December 2). Every donation made on GivingTuesday, up to $25,000, was matched, thanks to Henderson Metal. Not only was this goal met, but surpassed because of our generous community – a grand total of $77,235 was raised in just one day, more than fully funding the TeraReacon server! The TeraRecon server is a critical piece of equipment in Medical Imaging. Additional funds raised will support the purchase of future equipment in Medical Imaging at Sault Area Hospital (SAH).
Henderson Metal made an incredible impact on GivingTuesday by leading the campaign with a $25,000 match. Throughout the day, Sault Area Hospital Foundation team members heard from donors that Henderson’s generosity and commitment to supporting local healthcare inspired them to give.

The TeraReacon server is a high-powered analysis tool that helps doctors see medical images with more detail, faster, and from multiple angles. This advanced capability supports quicker, more precise diagnoses and can reduce the need for more invasive procedures.

Funding the TeraRecon server is just a small piece of the work of the Foundation – who commit to provide Sault Area Hospital with $5 million in funding for medical equipment each year!
