On November 30th at 11 am, Robin Reid of Churchill, ON, won the $238,327.50 jackpot in the Sault Area Hospital Foundation’s (SAHF) November electronic and online 50/50 draw. Her lucky number (M-5775983) was drawn electronically, and she was contacted immediately.
Robin grew up in Sault Ste. Marie, and was home visiting her parents when she bought her ticket. “It was actually my dad that convinced me to buy a ticket. I’m glad I listened to him!” said Robin. Her winning ticket was the first she had purchased for an SAHF 50/50 draw.
“My family has gotten care at that hospital, and I knew it was a good cause… but I had no idea how much I could win. I’m still in shock,” she said on the afternoon of the draw. Robin plans to use her $238,327.50 prize toward a new home she’s been shopping for, an education fund for her son, and some smart investments.
