Anne Jones wins $69,648 in the January SAHF 50/50 Draw

Proceeds from Sault Area Hospital Foundation lottery programs help support the purchase of medical equipment for Sault Area Hospital.
On January 30, Anne Jones of Desbarats, ON won a $69,648 jackpot in the Sault Area Hospital Foundation (SAHF) January 50/50 draw. Anne’s lucky number (J-16906614) was drawn electronically, and she was called immediately.
For Anne, supporting local healthcare is personal. For over 30 years, Anne was a registered nurse, working primarily in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and finished her career on Labour and Delivery
at Sault Area Hospital.
While Anne's professional ties run deep, her motivation for purchasing 50/50 tickets lies much closer to home. "My sister, diagnosed with breast cancer, underwent treatment at SAH," Anne shared. "Supporting the 50/50 is my way to help raise money for our hospital." Anne plans to use her winnings to travel and visit family.
Anne wasn’t the only winner this month – January’s Early Bird, Dave Lucente of Sault Ste. Marie, ON, was the lucky winner of $10,000 on January 15, with ticket J-15494732.

Tickets for SAHF’s February 50/ 50 draw are on sale now. Get your tickets before February 18 for a
chance to win the $10,000 early bird prize - plus every ticket has a chance at the growing jackpot.
Tickets are 10 for $10; 60 for $20; 200 for $40; or 750 for $75 In addition to online sales at www.soolottery.ca tickets can be purchased in person at select convenience stores and the Sault Area Hospital Foundation Office (750 Great Northern Road) from 8:00am 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. Ticket buyers must be 18 years of age or older and in the province of Ontario to play.
