On April 28th, Domenic Nicoletta of Sault Ste. Marie, ON won a $90,590 jackpot in the Sault Area Hospital Foundation (SAHF) April 50/50 draw. His lucky number (A-7294213) was drawn electronically, and Domenic was contacted that day.
Domenic buys SAHF 50/50 tickets most months, but never expected to win. A last-minute email reminder to get in for the April draw proved lucky for him and his family this month - he bought his winning ticket on April 27th. “This came at the best possible time,” said Domenic. “My daughter is getting married this summer, and we’ll be using some of the money for that.”
Domenic wasn’t the only winner this month, as April’s Early Bird hopped away with a $15,000 prize. Ray Dumais of Sault Ste. Marie, ON was the lucky winner on April 19th with ticket A-8486431.

Tickets for SAHF’s May 50/50 draw are on sale now, and the early bird could get a pretty juicy worm! Get your tickets before 2pm on May 17th for a chance to win the $15,000 early bird prize – plus every ticket has a chance at the growing jackpot.
Tickets are 10 for $10; 60 for $20; 200 for $40; or 750 for $75. In addition to online sales at www.soolottery.ca, tickets can be purchased in person at the Sault Area Hospital Foundation Office (750 Great Northern Road) from 8:00am-4:30pm, Tuesday through Thursday. Ticket buyers must be 18 years of age or older and in the province of Ontario to play.
